Fernando Pirry, a player for the Milwaukee men's soccer team, has been recognized as the Horizon League Under Armour Offensive Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office.
Pirry matched the program's record for goals in a single game by scoring four times during Milwaukee's 9-1 win over Chicago State. His performance also equaled the NCAA high for goals in a men's soccer game this fall. All four goals were scored in the first half, with Pirry finding the net in the 21st, 25th, 40th, and 41st minutes.
This is Pirry's first time receiving this award. It is also the first time a Milwaukee player has earned weekly honors since October 7 of last season, when Panthers players swept both awards.
