Milwaukee's women's soccer team secured a 5-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday at Engelmann Stadium. The Panthers, now 6-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Horizon League, scored four times in the second half after holding a 1-0 lead at halftime. This victory extends their unbeaten streak in regular-season league play to 32 matches.

Head coach Kevin Boyd commented on the team's performance: "I thought we played very well in the first half, other than our final third. I told the team in the second half, the game will start to settle a little more because fatigue will kick in. And when that happens, we are going to find some more space. As a whole, we played well – a couple really nice goals in there as well."

Five different players contributed goals for Milwaukee: Ellie Rebmann, Lola Wojcik, Jenni Andjelic, Emily Petring, and Abby Stoeck. The Panthers remain undefeated against Purdue Fort Wayne with a record of 6-0-1.

Boyd highlighted the team's balanced attack: "I think that sums us up this year. We are a good, sound team all the way across the board. There is no one player carrying the load. We've got a couple that are playing really well, but as a whole, the team is starting to connect better and better. I love that we've got really two lines of forwards that are coming in and tonight was the best I've seen that second line come in and play – I thought they did really well in the second half."

During the first half, Milwaukee controlled possession with 79 percent but led only by one goal at halftime after Rebmann scored her second goal of the season following a corner kick.

In the second half, Milwaukee outshot Purdue Fort Wayne 20-1 and continued to add goals throughout. Wojcik scored early after halftime; Andjelic added another from close range; Petring volleyed her fourth goal of the season; and Stoeck finished with a header late in the match.

The Panthers finished with advantages of 29-3 in total shots and 16-3 in shots on goal while earning seven corner kicks compared to none for their opponent. Goalkeeper Bella Hollenbach made three saves for her fourth shutout this season and has not allowed a conference goal through four matches.

Milwaukee will next face Northern Kentucky at home on Sunday at Engelmann Stadium.
