The Justin Beaton case is a prime example of the dangers of false narratives and the impact they can have on an individual's life. Justin Beaton, a substitute teacher from Racine, WI found himself at the center of a media storm of false narratives when he was wrongly accused in 2016. However, thanks to the efforts of a private investigator and his legal team, Beaton was able to prove his innocence of the false narratives surrounding his case and clear his name. This led to 17 news outlets retracting their stories and acknowledging his exoneration. One outlet even took it a step further by launching a program called "Moving Forward" to assist others who find themselves in similar situations.
