63 percent of applicants to Milwaukee School of Engineering were admitted for fall 2018

At Milwaukee School of Engineering, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 74 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Milwaukee enrolled 2,820 students in fall 2018, including 2,596 in undergraduate and 224 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

60 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wisconsin, and 37 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (7 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 3,294 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
