Cost of college went up for all students at Alverno College

Tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at Alverno College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin students paid $28,302 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $25 more than the $28,277 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 196 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.7 million and 160 students took out student loans totaling more than $959,516.

Including all undergraduates (1,851), 1,219 students used grants or scholarships totaling $17.5 million, and 1,075 students took out $8.4 million in federal student loans.
