Kyle Rechlicz has announced the addition of Taylor Ignoto to the Milwaukee women's basketball staff as an assistant coach on Tuesday.

"We are excited to announce the hiring of Taylor to our Panther family," commented Rechlicz. "Taylor has a well-rounded background and will be able to assist the program in a number of areas. Her positive personality is contagious, and she is a player's coach. I look forward to seeing the impact she will have on our staff and student-athletes both on and off the court."

Ignoto comes to Milwaukee from South Dakota, where she helped the Coyotes to 37 wins during her two years in Vermillion. In 2023-24, the team reached the Summit League semifinals before qualifying for the Women's NIT, where the Coyotes defeated both UC Riverside and Northern Arizona before falling to Wyoming in the Super 16.

At South Dakota, she served as the player development coach on the staff and worked primarily with the guards for an offense that was in the top 85 in each of her two seasons. She also contributed to skills workouts, scouting reports, recruiting, equipment management, and game film analysis.

Before her tenure at South Dakota, Ignoto was on staff for two seasons at Utah State of the Mountain West Conference. She spent her first season as Director of Basketball Operations and Special Assistant before being elevated to an assistant coaching role in year two, with the team seeing a seven-win increase from her first to second year on staff.

In 2019-20, Ignoto was on staff at Omaha as an assistant coach. This position was preceded by a stop at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois where she served as head coach. While with the Golden Eagles, she led the team to a 25-6 record, including a 14-0 mark in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play to earn the league title. At Rock Valley, Ignoto received both N4C and NJCAA Region IV Coach of the Year accolades.

Her first coaching experience came during a two-year stint at Western Illinois University, where she assisted in guiding the team to a .738 winning percentage with 48 wins in 65 contests. This included a Summit League Championship and appearance in the NCAA Division I Championship in 2016-17 while reaching the Summit semifinals and earning a berth in the NIT in 2017-18.

Ignoto earned her degree at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with a degree in social work while minoring in psychology. She played two seasons and averaged 13 points per game finishing her tenure with 598 points.
