Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is actively seeking to expand its workforce, inviting individuals interested in contributing to the education and support of Milwaukee students. The district is hiring for various positions, including teachers, paraprofessionals, building operations and maintenance staff, kitchen and cafeteria staff, children's health assistants, secretaries, and school safety assistants.

The district has organized job fairs on August 14 and August 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at MPS Central Services located at 5225 W. Vliet St., Milwaukee, WI 53208. Attendees will have the opportunity to inquire about the hiring process, compensation packages, benefits, and pathways to becoming a teacher. Immediate interviews will be available for some positions.

"MPS offers great benefits for full-time employees," stated an MPS representative. The district emphasizes opportunities for career advancement within Wisconsin's largest school district, which employs approximately 5,000 teachers along with an additional 5,000 full- and part-time staff.

Prospective teacher candidates are required to possess a valid Wisconsin teaching license or be enrolled in a DPI-approved licensure program. Additional details can be obtained by contacting MPS at (414) 475-8224 or via email at 565@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.
