Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is preparing to welcome students back to classrooms this fall. The MPS Department of Student Services is available to assist families with enrollment, emphasizing the importance of securing a school seat as some schools fill up quickly.

The district comprises nearly 160 schools and offers a variety of programs tailored to meet the needs of every student. These include half- and full-day kindergarten, neighborhood schools, specialty schools, Montessori, language immersion, bilingual education, special education, arts programs, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and more.

MPS ensures that all students have access to Chromebooks to enhance their learning experience. The district prides itself on creating warm and welcoming environments facilitated by caring, licensed teachers. Additionally, school staff are committed to supporting families throughout their child's academic journey by providing necessary resources. All MPS students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch.

For the upcoming academic year, all MPS schools will adhere to the traditional calendar with classes commencing on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Families can find the complete school calendar on the School Calendar webpage.

To ensure your child is ready for fall, it is advised to enroll as soon as possible.
