Paul Koier, a 2019 graduate with a major in Sport and Exercise Science, currently serves as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Women’s Basketball and Tennis at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Reflecting on his time at Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC), Koier shared that his favorite experience was participating in a lip sync battle with friends, where they performed as the “Spice Boyz.”

Since graduation, Koier has achieved several milestones. Notably, he attended the Battle 4 Atlantis basketball tournament during Thanksgiving week as part of the Virginia Commonwealth University men's basketball staff. "As a basketball fan, this is just one of a few coveted tournaments that I had hoped to experience during my career," he said.

Koier and his wife are currently working towards purchasing a house in Charlotte, North Carolina by 2025. He also shared a personal anecdote about family vacations: "My family traveled by car for vacations. My first plane ride wasn’t until I was 16 years old to visit the Grand Canyon. Traveling by car allowed me to see parts of the country that you can't see when you fly, which is something I cherish to this day."

His first job was an umpire for the Menomonee Falls Little League. Reflecting on his career, Koier emphasized the importance of consistency: "Consistency is king! Being consistent in your habits, relationships, and your true authentic self will get you further in your career and life than anything else."
