Each day of the meet will begin with preliminary events at 9 a.m. central time, followed by finals at 5 p.m. Diving events are scheduled for noon. Competing alongside Milwaukee will be teams such as IUPUI, Ball State, Lewis, UIC, Missouri St. Louis, Lynn, Quincy, Butler, North Texas, and Arkansas Little Rock.
Last year, Milwaukee's men finished fourth out of seven teams while the women secured third place. In their most recent competition on November 4th against Wheaton College Thunder, both Milwaukee teams achieved victories; the men won 132-68 and the women triumphed with a score of 125-72.
For the men's team during that meet, Vince Chiappetta excelled in distance freestyle events by winning both the 500 free and the 1000 free races decisively. Hunter Johnson and Travis Hull shared first place in the 100 breaststroke with identical times of 1:01.01.
The women's team claimed victory in ten events with Grace Hudson leading in individual wins by securing first place in both the 200 free and the 500 free races. Her performance contributed to Milwaukee's fifth consecutive win this season.
Julie Rebek was recognized as Horizon League Diver of the Week for her performance against Davenport where she scored significantly higher than her competitors on both diving heights. Her score of 282.08 on the one-meter board qualified her for March's NCAA Division I Zone D Diving Championships alongside teammate Adam St. John.
Following this weekend's meet, Milwaukee will have a break until January when they resume their schedule against Green Bay on January 27th.
