Natalie Block and Anthony Campbell have been recognized as the Horizon League's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances last weekend. The announcement was made by the Horizon League office.
This is the first outdoor season award for both athletes, although they received accolades during the indoor season—four times for Block and twice for Campbell.
Block earned the title of #HLTF Outdoor Women's Runner of the Week after her performance at the Raleigh Relays. She set a new program record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.29 seconds, securing third place at the meet. Her time is currently leading the conference by over half a second and ranks as the 34th fastest nationally.
Campbell was named #HLTF Outdoor Men's Field Athlete of the Week due to his performance at the same event. He began his outdoor season with a long jump measuring 7.40 meters, placing him second in that event. His jump leads the conference by more than a foot.
The Panthers are scheduled to compete again on Saturday, April 6, at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational in Rochester, Michigan, with events starting at 10:30 AM.
