The Milwaukee volleyball team is set to face the Wright State Raiders in a significant matchup at the Klotsche Center this weekend. The Panthers are currently positioned second in the Horizon League standings with a 6-1 record, following their first league loss against Northern Kentucky. Wright State remains undefeated in the league with a 7-0 record.

Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+ with commentary from Matt Menzl, and live stats can be accessed via MKEPanthers.com. The games are scheduled for Friday, October 18 at 6:00 pm and Saturday, October 19 at 2:00 pm.

Milwaukee's recent performance included a win and a loss against Northern Kentucky. Key players like Madi Malone and Natalie Schmitz led the team offensively, while Josie Johnson provided crucial assists. Defensively, Kara Erdmann recorded an impressive number of digs over the weekend.

Wright State has shown dominance with seven straight wins in league play. Their recent victories over Youngstown State were marked by strong performances from players such as Sam Ott and Mya Ayro. Lauren Yacobucci leads nationally in assists per set.

Historically, Milwaukee holds a favorable record against Wright State, especially at home venues like the Klotsche Center. The upcoming matches provide an opportunity for Milwaukee to reclaim the top spot in the league standings.

After these matches, Milwaukee will continue its season with games against Marquette and Youngstown State before concluding October's schedule against Green Bay.
