Milwaukee athletes shine on day one of Meyo Invite

Milwaukee's track and field teams participated in the first day of Notre Dame's Meyo Invite in South Bend, Indiana. Evan Bartelsen excelled in the pole vault, achieving a height of 4.96 meters, placing him third on Milwaukee's all-time leaderboard and securing second place for the day.

In the long jump, freshman Anthony Buford recorded his best jump at 7.15 meters, marking the seventh-best performance in school history. On the women's side, Anna Szepieniec reached 5.69 meters to earn a third-place finish.

Caden Thomas continued his successful season by winning the high jump with a clearance of 1.96 meters. In track events, Dominique Thomas finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.59 seconds.

Isabel Roloff advanced from the qualifying round in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.77 seconds and will join Thomas in tomorrow's preliminaries at 11:00 a.m.

The Panthers' schedule for tomorrow includes starting at 9:40 a.m. with the 800-meter run and commencing field events with the women's pole vault at noon. Afternoon track events will be available for viewing on ACC Network Extra beginning at 1:00 p.m.
