Jamichael Stillwell and Themus Fulks of the Milwaukee men's basketball team have been recognized with Horizon League postseason honors. The announcement was made by the conference office, revealing the all-league teams and specialty award winners.
Stillwell earned a spot on the First-Team All-League and was named Horizon League Newcomer of the Year. Fulks received Second-Team All-League accolades. This marks the first time since the 2015-16 season that two players from Milwaukee have been selected for all-conference honors.
Stillwell is the first to receive Newcomer of the Year since Ed McCants in 2003-04, and he is also Milwaukee's first First-Team All-League player since Matt Tiby in 2015-16. Throughout his debut season, Stillwell has set several records for Milwaukee, including 16 double-doubles, surpassing previous records for single-season rebounds and offensive boards. He is averaging 12.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Fulks has excelled as a point guard, leading Milwaukee with an average of 14.4 points per game, significantly above his career average. His performance has placed him among conference leaders in multiple categories, including assists and scoring efficiency.
Kentrell Pullian was also a finalist for the Horizon League Sportsmanship Award.
The Horizon League announced various other awards: Player of the Year went to Alvaro Folgueiras from RMU; Coach of the Year to Andy Toole from RMU; Freshman of the Year to Je'Shawn Stevenson from Cleveland State; Defensive Player of the Year to Amarion Dickerson from RMU; Sixth Man of the Year to Chase Robinson from Cleveland State; Sportsmanship Award to Jalen Jackson from Purdue Fort Wayne.
The All-League First Team included Tevin Smith (Cleveland State), Jamichael Stillwell (Milwaukee), Rasheed Bello (Purdue Fort Wayne), Jalen Jackson (Purdue Fort Wayne), and Alvaro Folgueiras (RMU). The Second Team featured Themus Fulks (Milwaukee) along with Allen Mukeba (Oakland), Amarion Dickerson (RMU), Kam Woods (RMU), and Brandon Noel (Wright State).
The Third Team comprised Dylan Arnett (Cleveland State), Tahj Staveskie (Cleveland State), Trey Robinson (Northern Kentucky), EJ Farmer (Youngstown State), and Nico Galette (Youngstown State).
Members of the All-Freshman Team were Reece Robinson, Je'Shawn Stevenson, Nate Johnson, DeSean Goode, and Solomon Callaghan. The All-Defensive Team included Dylan Arnett, Tevin Smith, Rasheed Bello, Amarion Dickerson, and Gabe Dynes.
Sportsmanship Award finalists were Emmanuel Kuac, Ryan Wade, Sean Craig, Kentrell Pullian, Josh Dilling, Jayson Woodrich, Jalen Jackson*, Amarion Dickerson, Solomon Callaghan.
