Graduates earn 545 degrees, certificates from Alverno College

About 31.2 percent of the 545 degrees and certificates handed out by Alverno College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Milwaukee conferred 105 bachelor's degrees and 53 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 96 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 48 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 30 master's degrees in family practice nurse/nursing.

The college enrolled 1,851 students for 2017-18, including 1,219 in undergraduate programs and 632 in graduate programs.
