CITY OF WAUWATOSA: The Format of City Meetings: Virtual, Hybrid and In Person

Meeting 11

City of Wauwatosa issued the following announcement on June 3.

As vaccination rates improve, the Council will return to a partially in-person meeting format guided by appropriate health and safety guidelines. These new guidelines will apply until August 31, 2021.

Common Council and Standing Committee Meetings

  • Members of the Common Council and Standing Committees (Transportation Affairs, Government Affairs, Community Affairs, and Financial Affairs) can choose to be in person or remote.
  • The public will be able to view and participate in the meetings virtually. At certain meetings, we take public comment, and this will be done virtually through Zoom. There is no in person attendance from members of the public because is not adequate space to physically distance all attendees.
  • A person who is an applicant on the meeting agenda can choose to be appear in person or remote.
After August 2021, the Common Council will review these procedures and make any necessary updates based on COVID-19 conditions, as well as health and safety guidelines.

Citizen Committees

Wauwatosa has about 30 citizen-led committees. Committees and Commissions can meet in person, hybrid, or virtually at the preference of the chair of that committee or commission.
