Milwaukee City Wire sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Milwaukee Election Commission to request information on vote batches counted in the 2024 General Election.
"Whether late night ballot dumps or vanishing votes, Milwaukee election authorities need to provide answers and the data now," Edward "Coach" Weinhaus, managing partner, FOIASolved, told Milwaukee City Wire.
FOIASolved is a multi-state law firm handling FOIA litigation.
Milwaukee City Wire sent the FOIA request to the Milwaukee Election Commission asking for "a comprehensive list of all vote batches counted in the 2024 election" including their time of arrival, total ballots included, and total votes by race for each ballot batch.
Reports of vote batches counted during the election show a large vote batch reported in the middle of the night in favor of the Democrat Senate candidate which flipped the leader in the race from candidate Eric Hovde (R) to incumbent Tammy Baldwin (D)
"In Milwaukee, a large vote update of 109K votes, 83% favoring the Democrats, arrived at 3:31am on Wed 11/6, flipping the outcome of the race," X user Shylock Holmes reported.
Incumbent Sen. Baldwin (D) was named the winner of the Senate race in Wisconsin with 49.4% of the vote, according to AP News, compared to Hovde's
48.5% of the vote. Baldwin had a total of 1,672,418 votes, with Hovde's total votes at 1,643,302.
Baldwin received 190,827 votes votes in Milwaukee, according to unofficial election results from the city's election division. Hovde received 47,273 votes from voters in the city of Milwaukee.
