The Century City 1 warehouse is now fully leased, a fact that was applauded by Mayor Tom Barrett.

“I’m pleased that this portion of Century City is realizing the great potential the entire site has," the mayor tweeted. "The neighborhood is well connected to workforce and transportation, and forward-thinking companies are finding opportunities at Century City.”

The 53,400-square-foot building was purchased by an affiliate of Good City Brewing in 2018 for $867,858, Urban Milwaukee reported. It was vacant at the time of the purchase, the story said.

The building now has five tenants, including Good City Brewing, which has storage and office space there, Craft Beverage Warehouse, Planet to Plate‘s Hundred Acre urban farm, Klein-Dickert Glass and B83 Testing and Engineering, Urban Milwaukee reported.

“When we purchased the building a couple of years ago, we knew it would be a longer-term project," Dan Katt of Good City who leads the investment group that bought the property, told Urban Milwaukee. "We are thrilled that the building is now fully leased and we remain excited and committed to the future of Century City.”

The building is on the northern edge of the business park at W. Capitol Dr., the story said.

“It is exciting to see investment taking place at Century City, and in other parts of the surrounding neighborhood,” area alderman Khalif Rainey in a statement, according to Urban Milwaukee. “As investment grows, we are confident job growth and opportunity will follow.”

The 84-acre business park was once home to Tower Automotive and more than 5,000 jobs, but the city has struggled to attract new businesses there, Urban Milwaukee reported.
