Milwaukee police are still investigating a recent early morning incident near Plankinton Ave. that ended with the windows at several downtown businesses being smashed.
All the destruction took place during the early-morning hours of May 9, with WISN reporting windows at the TJ Maxx, Foot Locker, Subway, Walgreens and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra were all damaged.
"I've never dealt with this before so I don't know the process," Subway manager Hardik Pandejee told the website. "I just came like wow, nothing ever happened like that so it was really surprising that in our neighborhood something like that happened."
Pandejee added he later found broken concrete pieces on the floor of his establishment.
"I don't know if he or she was frustrated about something or what happened but that's weird," he said. "It's just cleaning up. It's gonna take a while to clean it. I guess I'll probably have to call someone to clean it. I don't know. I've never had to deal with this before."
With crews called in to inspect the overall damage and board up windows, police said a 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested, though have not identified the person and formal charges against him had not yet been filed.
