Milwaukee Public Schools will hold its annual Districtwide Spelling Bee at Vincent High School on two consecutive Saturdays, April 12 and April 19, 2025. The finals will feature students from grades 3 to 5 on April 12 and from grades 6 to 8 on April 19, with both events running from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

For those unable to attend the event in person at Vincent School of Agricultural Sciences located at 7501 N. Granville Rd., Milwaukee, the spelling bee will also be broadcast via a livestream on TMJ4's platform at tmj4.com/live.

This event will showcase the linguistic skills of MPS students as they take on challenging words and vie for the title of top speller. The participating students, referred to as logophiles for their love of words, have been rigorously preparing for the competition.

"Find out which MPS students can tackle mind-bending words and become top spellers — watch the Districtwide Spelling Bee and be amazed as students face off in this classic academic challenge!" the announcement stated.

These spelling bees aim not only to highlight students' spelling prowess but also to encourage a love of language and an academic spirit within the school district.
