Barbara Dittrich discusses advocacy efforts and legislative progress at Wisconsin Capitol

Rep. Barbara Dittrich, a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, recently shared updates on her legislative activities and interactions via social media. Her posts highlight significant events at the Capitol and developments in state legislation.

On May 14, Rep. Dittrich mentioned her participation in the 1848 Project advocacy day at the Capitol. Although she was unable to meet with all constituents due to other commitments, she expressed appreciation for having a brief meeting with Alderman Kloth. "Yesterday was also the @1848Project advocacy day at the Capitol. While I wasn't able to meet with all of my constituents who were here due to meetings and a floor session, I did manage to sneak in just a few minutes with Alderman Kloth," she stated.

On May 15, Rep. Dittrich provided an update regarding legislative progress in healthcare. She reported that the Assembly Committee on Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care conducted a public hearing on several bills, including one concerning Advanced Nurse Practitioners legislation. In her post, she expressed optimism about its advancement: "Yesterday, the Assembly Committee on Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care held a public hearing on a number of bills including the latest iteration of the Advanced Nurse Practitioners legislation."

Later that day, Rep. Dittrich addressed fiscal policy matters by discussing recent actions taken by the Joint Committee on Finance regarding state budget procedures. She noted that for three consecutive legislative sessions, public policy has been excluded from the state budget document to maintain its fiscal focus: "For the last 3 legislative sessions, all public policy has been removed from the state budget."
