82 percent of applicants to Marquette University were admitted for fall 2018

At Marquette University, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Milwaukee enrolled 11,605 students in fall 2018, including 8,435 in undergraduate and 3,170 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

32 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wisconsin, and 67 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 82 percent of the 15,574 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
