Marquette University issued the following announcement on Dec. 4
The Marquette University men's basketball team (7-2) dropped an 89-76 decision at No. 23/22 Wisconsin (7-1) Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
Forward Justin Lewis led the way with 14 points and forward Oso Ighodaro and guard Darryl Morsell chipped in 11 points. The Badgers pulled away in the second half thanks in large part to a 72.0 percent field goal percentage after the intermission.
Wisconsin led 34-31 at the intermission, despite shooting just 35.3 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. The Golden Eagles knocked down 44.9 percent of their opportunities, led by forward Oso Ighodaro's 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting.
Notables:
- Wisconsin now leads the all-time series 69-59 after Saturday's victory
- Prior to Saturday's game, only Greg Elliott and Darryl Morsell had ever played at the Kohl Center
- Forward Oso Ighodaro finished with 11 points, reaching double figures in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. He netted a career-best 14 points against Jackson State
- Starting forward Kur Kuath played just four minutes in the first half after picking up two early fouls
