Milwaukee Parent Institute is inviting parents of children entering 6th or 9th grade this fall to participate in sessions designed to enhance academic performance and readiness for higher education. The institute aims to support parents in communicating with their children about school and future aspirations, understanding adolescent behavior, and identifying high school courses that prepare students for college and careers.
Sessions will be available in both English and Spanish. For English speakers, the sessions will take place at MPS Central Services located at 5225 W. Vliet Street on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Parents of 6th graders can register for Room 210–211 through https://bit.ly/msmpi, while parents of 9th graders can register for Room 206–208 via https://bit.ly/mpihs.
Spanish-speaking parents of 6th graders can attend a session at MATC Walker’s Square, located at 816 W. National Ave., Sala 488 on the same date and time. Registration is available at https://bit.ly/msmpi. Similarly, Spanish-speaking parents of 9th graders can join a session at Mitchell Street Library's Sala Comunitaria, located at 906 W.
