Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is set to host a High School Enrollment Fair on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at South Division High School, located at 1515 W. Lapham Blvd., Milwaukee.

The fair aims to assist eighth-grade students and their families in selecting suitable high school programs. MPS offers various career-focused programs including arts, automotive, college prep, technology, engineering, health care, music, skilled trades, manufacturing, and culinary arts.

Families are encouraged to explore the district website's "How to Select a School" section for guidance on choosing schools by location or program. Additionally, the High School Enrollment page provides information on open house events at different high schools.

To secure a spot in their preferred school, students should enroll as early as possible since some schools reach capacity quickly. The enrollment process involves completing an online application form available on the "How to Apply for High School Admissions" page of the MPS website.

New MPS families must submit the student's seventh-grade report card, attendance record, and standardized test scores. An essay response to a reading selection is also required. Current MPS eighth-graders will fulfill this requirement during October in their respective schools.

For further details or assistance with enrollment procedures, contact the Department of Student Services at (414) 475-8159.
