The Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) district is actively seeking a new superintendent to lead its educational efforts. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring high-quality education, supporting families, motivating staff, and enhancing the community.

To facilitate this search, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors has enlisted Hazard Young Attea Associates (HYA), a national consulting firm. HYA will manage candidate recruitment, oversee the search process, and collect input from residents across Milwaukee.

Community involvement is encouraged through a series of meetings that will be held for students, families, staff, community members, business partners, government officials, and others. These meetings will be available both virtually and in-person.

Additionally, all residents of Milwaukee are invited to participate in a survey aimed at developing a profile for the ideal superintendent. This survey will also assist in drafting interview questions and identifying suitable candidates. The survey period runs from October 4 to October 20, 2024.
